Got to do this in Southern California before they shut down. It was amazing. Mud pits, near verticle walls, smoke-filled mazes. You could "skip" an obstacle if you didn't want to do it, but there was always a group of zombies hanging out of the edges of an obstacle, ready to snatch one of your 3 lives (the red ribbons). They messed with your mind in addition to your cardio. At one point they were bussing the zombies that had made it to the end back to the beginning and they passed a group of us and we all jeered at them. The bus driver stopped and they all got out in immediately started chasing his right there

This was the start of our Mudd run adventures. From this run I've finished 8 Spartan races with one year finishing a trifecta. That was 3 years after our first mudd run and this was the first. Many Mudd Endeavors and Rugged Maniac with one Tough mudder. Damn this hits hard after all those years. ❤️

Was fun while it lasted. Got to run 2 of them. Harder than u think because you jog for a min then zeds show up and you have to explode, then jog a min and think u have a few to catch breath then nope more zeds...explode
